Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 July 2026
1. Who is responsible for your data
Fabian Sysel, Seitenstettengasse 5/37, 1010 Wien (“Mevien”, “we”) is the controller for the personal data described in this policy. See our Imprint for full contact details. Data protection inquiries: office@mevien.at.
2. What we collect
Booking form: full name, email, phone number, preferred date/time, session plan, and any notes you add about your goals.
Trainer application form: full name, email, phone number, years of experience, certification body and number, specialties, bio, and availability.
Automatically collected: IP address, device/browser type, pages viewed, and referral source, via cookies and similar technologies — only for categories you consent to (see §5).
3. Why we process your data (legal basis)
Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): booking data is used to match you with a trainer, schedule and run your session, and handle payment.
Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): analytics and advertising cookies (Google Analytics, Google Ads) are only active after you accept them in our cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time — see §5.
Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): trainer application review and basic fraud/abuse prevention.
4. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; data may be processed by Google LLC in the US). Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as pages visited, session duration, device type, and approximate location, in order to help us understand how visitors use the site.
We enable IP anonymization (anonymize_ip). Analytics cookies are only set if you accept the “Analytics” category in our cookie banner; until then, Google's Consent Mode keeps analytics storage denied. You can also install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on to block Google Analytics across all sites. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google processes this data.
5. Google Ads
We use Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns via conversion tracking, and — if enabled — remarketing, which uses a cookie to show Mevien ads to prior visitors on other sites. Advertising cookies are only set if you accept the “Advertising” category in our cookie banner.
You can opt out of personalized advertising in your Google Ad Settings, or generally via the Your Online Choices platform.
6. Cookie categories
| Category | Purpose | Consent required |
|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Theme preference, cookie consent state, session security | No — required for the site to function |
| Analytics | Google Analytics — traffic and usage measurement | Yes |
| Advertising | Google Ads — conversion tracking and remarketing | Yes |
Manage your choice at any time via the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer.
7. Data retention
Booking and trainer application records are retained for 5 months after your last interaction, then deleted or anonymized. Analytics data is retained in Google Analytics per our configured retention window (commonly 14 months).
8. Data recipients and international transfers
We share data with service providers who process it on our behalf: our payment processor (for bookings), hosting provider, and, where consent is given, Google (Analytics, Ads). Google may process data outside the EEA (e.g. in the US) under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not sell personal data.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing is based on consent (analytics/advertising cookies), you can withdraw it at any time via “Cookie Settings” without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
10. Data security
We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls) to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information at every stage.
11. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under that age.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be highlighted on this page with an updated revision date.
